It is similar to tap and track. After using t&t for a few months it was easy to use but the one bonus of t&t is the ability to search through recent foods list. I think it should be added to this app. I like the breakdown of carbs, fat, and protien. As a runner I try to eat 50% carb, 25% protein, and 25% fat. This app helps me track the breakdown.

Not for those uneducated about nutrition

:
This app only contains brand name or restaurant foods. So if you were trying to decide between a piece of fish or lean ground turkey at the supermarket this would be of no help to you.

It also does not use any kind of expert judgement. It gives a salmon fillet a poor grade citing a high ratio of fat and cholesterol without taking into consideration that salmon is an excellent source of GOOD cholesterol (the kind that fights bad cholesterol), unsaturated fat which you need in your diet to a small extent to dissolve fat soluble vitamins, and omega-3's which are essential to your health and cannot be produced by your body. It might as well have given skim milk a bad grade!

I guess there are just some things you can't program a computer to know.
